About the author of Miracles Do Happen
At 14, McKenna joined the Poor Clare convent in Northern Ireland.
Following her religious profession two years later, she was appointed a teacher for her community in Tampa, Florida, while suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.
In fact, she claims to have been healed instantly at the age of 24 during the celebration of the Eucharist. Furthermore, to receive the gift of healing later, during prayer.
Moreover, Sister McKenna claims she received a profound spiritual calling to work with priests in 1974.
Many bishops, priests, lay leaders, and community leaders from all parts of the world have sought spiritual guidance from Sister Briege through spiritual consultations. Priests in crisis who have received her prayers of healing number in the thousands and on all five continents.
For over thirty years, Sister Briege has worked with Father Kevin Scallon to minister to priests.
