About the author of The South Beach Diet
Dr Arthur Agatston is the author of many scholarly papers in the field of non-invasive heart diagnostic. Arthur was born on January 22, 1947, and he is known as an American cardiologist, celebrity doctor, and inventor of the South Beach diet.
Agatston earned his medical school degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1973. At the same time, while completing his internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center under Albert Einstein. He then pursued a cardiology fellowship at NYU.
Agatston studied medicine at New York University Medical Center, where he eventually served as director of the non-invasive cardiac laboratory. He is now the medical director of wellness and prevention for Baptist Health South Florida, where he practices.
