Description

Anyone Can Do It – Building Coffee Republic

Siblings duo Sahar and Bobby Hashemi wrote Anyone Can Do It – Building Coffee Republic. It′s about coffee beans and crazy dreams!

Sahar and Bobby Hashemi are the awe-inspiring brother and sister team. They started one of the most recognised and high-profile high street brands in the United Kingdom today – Coffee Republic.

As a result, Anyone Can Do It is an inspirational book that chronicles the start and evolution of a success story. Beginning with the siblings′ first conversations (when the seed of the idea was planted), to writing the business plan, finding a name, and raising money. To opening the first store, taking the company public, and to the present day when Coffee Republic is worth £50m with 90 outlets around the UK.

Nevertheless, the book is no mere corporate history. It is a very personal story of dreaming, acting, and succeeding. In addition, it offers a myriad of lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs and blows apart the myth that only ′special′ people start successful businesses.

Furthermore, written in an informal style and packed with tips, advice, quotes and includes a wonderful appendix (more like a scrapbook), which includes copies of original business plans, early brainstorms, and the cruel and duly ignored bank rejection letters.

As a result, showing a real insight into real people trying to make a go of their dreams. (Source: Publisher)

Besides being translated into six languages, the book debuted at number one on Amazon.co.uk’s business chart and endorsed by the DTI, The Prince’s Trust, and Institute of Directors.

About the author of Anyone Can Do It – Building Coffee Republic.

The founder of Coffee Republic and Skinny Candy, Sahar Hashemi OBE, is most famous for founding Coffee Republic.

Her services to the UK economy and charity earned her the OBE in the 2012 Birthday Honours.

She studied law at the University of Bristol, receiving a corporation exhibition scholarship. After graduating from university, she joined an old law firm in Lincoln’s Inn Fields that permanently closed in 1998.

As a co-founder of Coffee Republic with her brother Bobby, Hashemi developed and established the first US-style coffee bars in the UK. In 1995, South Molton Street became the first location.

At the time Hashemi left the company in 2001, the chain had 108 locations.
