Meditation: Achieving Inner Peace &Tranquility in Your Life

Brian L. Weiss is the author of Meditation: Achieving Inner Peace & Tranquility in Your Life.
Meditation is a technique to experience peace, tranquillity, and inner beauty, leading us to rethink everything around us, even ourselves. Consequently, it prompts us to trust in the ability we have to use and direct our energies to purify our bodies and minds… so that we can discover and develop our spirituality.

Brian Weiss, M.D., has written a very special book to help with the practice of meditation (an audio download is also included to guide you through the process). Meditation: Achieving Inner Peace and Tranquility in Your Life includes the techniques Dr. Weiss uses on his patients. Many of whom have conquered insomnia, anxiety, phobias, weight issues, and disease. Furthermore, meditation can also lower blood pressure, strengthen the immunological system, and reduce stress.

What is meditation?

Mediation is a form of reflection. Meanwhile, during this time of reflection, an individual uses a method of training their attention and awareness. Similarly, methods such as mindfulness, and achieves a state of emotional calm and clarity. This form of reflection is difficult to define, as its practices vary around the world and within each tradition.

Furthermore, in Hinduism and Buddhism, this form of reflection (dhyana) has played a prominent role in the repertoire of contemplative practices. During the 19th century, Asian meditative techniques have spread to non-spiritual contexts, like business and health.

Researchers are investigating the effects of this form of reflection on health (psychological, neurological, and cardiovascular) and other areas. This form of reflection seems to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.
