Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed centres around Altair, an assassin in the 13th Century Middle East. Along with his fellow assassins, he is trying to end the Crusades by suppressing both sides. Therefore, the action is spread across three medieval cities. Meanwhile, Altair must climb, jump and ultimately kill his way through missions. In fact, missions against the backdrop of a stunningly animated and rendered ancient metropolis.

Judging from early peeks, the beauty of this game really is in the details. The cities allow absolute freedom of movement in the mode of GTA. They have given careful attention to the tiniest of details to produce some of the most realistic graphics ever seen.

The movement and look of each character have been carefully modelled to emulate real human motion. AI prompt them to constantly react to you in a realistic way. As you move through crowds, you have to be careful not to draw attention to yourself. Anything untoward can bring the guards down on you in a heartbeat.  If you fancy your chances at fighting your way through a posse of bodyguards, you can. Just don’t be surprised if a couple of well-placed blows brings you down. Source: Publisher

Assassin’s Creed Review

Reviews of Assassin’s Creed have been overwhelmingly positive. Nevertheless, many critics describing it as “one of the most outstanding franchises on 7th generation consoles”.

In addition to its ambitious gameplay, visuals, and narratives, it has also faced criticism for its tech problems and annual releases. Consequently, while the series’ shift to prioritize role-playing mechanics over stealth has caused controversy.

By October 2020, total sales of the series had reached 155 million,000. Meanwhile, by September 2019, the series had sold over 140 million copies and had over 95 million players. As a result, it is Ubisoft’s best-selling franchise and one of the most popular franchises in video game history.
